Went on to a masters in Physics and doctorate in EE at Columbia. Spent 9 years at NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (while at Columbia); 3years at National Radio Astronomy Observatory (Charlottesville, VA); 25 years at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and 10 years at Caltech departments of Biology and EE. Currently an Emeritus scientist at JPL and visiting faculty at Caltech. Working out of a research startup (THz Global) on millimeter-wave biomedical science and instruments. Spent my career on THz technology, instrumentation and applications.
Favorite Aveni moment: Milky Way awards at Astro 101
Tony was my mentor throughout my entire career. I never met anyone I thought was a better teacher and a better role model for science education.
Ronnie and I wish you as much joy and pleasure in your retirement years as you instilled in both of us through our years at Colgate and all the years that followed. THE WHIP
